Hawkeye Formula Racing is the University of Iowa's Formula SAE team — designing, building, and racing high-performance open-wheel cars driven by students who refuse to settle.
Our Mission
We push the limits of engineering each season — designing and manufacturing a competitive formula-style race car from scratch, giving students hands-on experience that no classroom can replicate.
Competition
We compete in Formula SAE events, judged across design, cost, business presentation, and dynamic performance — acceleration, skidpad, autocross, and endurance. Every point counts.
